I have more than twenty years experience editing a broad range of works, from books for the youngest beginning readers to the most sophisticated young adult novels, adult memoir, adult fiction, and nonfiction in all categories. I have experience in all genres: including, but not limited to, contemporary, historical, SFF, horror, thriller, romantic comedy.

Developmental edit:

Manuscript evaluation and broad-stroke editorial letter, which consists of an in-depth reading of the manuscript, an editorial letter with general and some specific comments about the work outlining strengths and weaknesses, and a follow-up email or phone conversation as need or requested. Starting at $500 per assignment; $0.04 per word.

Line edit:

Line-by-line manuscript editing and detailed editorial suggestion—consisting of an in-depth reading of the manuscript, detailed sentence-by-sentence editorial notations, an editorial letter with general and some specific comments about the work outlining strengths and weaknesses, and a follow-up email or phone conversation as need or requested. Starting at $500 per assignment; $0.07 per word.
